First things first, i would like to say a massive thanks to all the students connected with the club. every one of you have shown great commitment and enthusiam for what can be tough, hard, real life training. It's not always easy (especially my famous warm ups!) but you have all done brilliantly. also, great effort from the Kirkcaldy, Fife, Livingston and West lothian guys to make it on a Sunday morning....
The nature of our training means you will pick up the odd bruise and knock...no real injuries, that shouldn't happen....but when you train properly in Krav maga i'm afraid a bruise or two comes with the territory. (as many of us know (sorry Kerry!) ha ha ha)
Now, can i say in light of that..that EVERYBODY in our club has shown real grit and determination in all aspects of the training we do at Krav Maga Academy Scotland. ( I know i sometimes go off on a tangent and we end up in an impromptu lecture but its usually on an important subject....I hope lol) Remember, good self defence and self defence training includes tactical awareness, foresight and thinking. Not just using the physical tools...but also the confidence and know how of how to deal with the 'timeline' of an encounter.
Ok, so the grading is coming up on October 3rd as you know. Everybody from our club who wants to grade for Practitioner level 1...can do....and everyone who does has the ability to pass!....
honestly guys, I have seen lots of Krav Maga students and you guys have made superb progress through the system to this point. You wont see it guys, but i do...every single one of you is definately more confident, more able, more aware and above all safer going through life!.....that is why I do this, the one and only reason...fact.
That said, it is all down to your own hard work...yes I play my part, but I cant do it for you...the results you get are down to the work and effort you put in.
Ok, touchy feely bit over, see you all next week when we will get back to our normal business of kicking each others asses!
